Currently, there are no specific learning trajectories. We do anticipate however that – as our 9 collective initiatives further develop and mature – we will design specific learning trajectories which are focussed, geared towards a more specific audience, with clear objectives and limited in time. The diagram below gives you an idea on how this transition of collective initiatives to learning trajectories can take place

Title of learning trajectory

Decolonisation and its relationship with international cooperation have increasingly gained attention in higher education and research in recent years. HE&SIs play a key role in the creation, legitimation and transfer of knowledge which may inform social movements and scholarly critique across the globe. In particular, HE&SIs around the world are well placed to self-reflect, study practices and reconstruct knowledge, and question training programmes, pedagogies and research approaches regarding decolonisation and its dimensions and implications. To this effect, an ARES-led and HES4SD supported study on decolonization and partnership practices in the context of academic cooperation, has been initiated. Study findings and recommendations are expected towards the end of 2025.

The integration and adoption of decolonial perspectives and practices is important in the development of reciprocal, global partnerships among HEIs and between HEIs and societal actors, as well as in the governance of JSF initiators.
