CLEAR – one of the three PSP projects focused on climate change and the environment – is organising its first café event to present key insights from its policy support programme. Brussels-based policymakers and civil society representatives are invited to join an open discussion on Climate-Smart Agriculture: Top-Down Solutions versus Knowledge from the Ground.
Event type: Free but registration required
Location: FPS Foreign Affairs, Karmelietenstraat 15, 1000 Brussels – Room DV01
Date & time: 27/11/2025 – 10:30-12:30 CET
CLEAR stands for CLimate, Environment and Agroecology Research and is a VLIRUOS/ARES Policy Supporting Programme (PSP) carried out by a consortium of researchers from Belgian and African universities on behalf of DGD, the Belgian Directorate for Development cooperation and humanitarian Aid.
In this seminar, researchers from the PSP Climate and Environment will present ongoing work on the role of climate-smart agriculture. Through case studies on Rwanda, Mali and DRC, they will explore how “knowledge” is mobilised or contested in political debates on climate change.
