Summary

Food safety is a global public health concern whereby the South-East Asia region is impacted the most. Reports from Vietnam on Anisakidae, fishborne parasites, indicate an alarming potential public health problem. This project aims to contribute to the needed capacity and awareness creation and to build a comprehensive knowledge about the hazards and the risks to consumers, indispensable for the development of control strategies, thereby supporting governments to substantially reduce disease burden.
